    '53-'54 uprights lower the front of '49-'52 Chevys a bit more than an inch.

    NO....the first set was AC Delco R44TS....the second set( that looks terrible) is NKG UR4's(their hottest plug).

    the car has about 500 miles on it and getting ready for a 3rd set...will try AC 45 ts....I have 305 SS 601 heads on the 283 with flatops.

    I ran HEI at first until the speedometer messed up and it started running not so good...about 100 miles ago, put in a points system, changed the gap to 35, coil, resistor, etc...getting the same ignition readings as my 68 327-350hp vette. Accordding to AC plugs, only 2 were sorta fouling out...number 2 and 4....all of the NGK plugs are oil soaked around the threads and all the insulators are black with just a few with a very small tan tip.

    Prefer to keep the points vs HEI. My vette has the same plugs and points since 93 and it is a honky tonk...almost as fast as in the early 70's when you could buy gas....er....good gas.
