Another photo of Lou Williams in the Hillbilly GTX, this time at Grand Bend Ontario in 1967.

Next time I am at my parents place I will dig a little deeper in the old photo boxes and see if I can come up with some more.

I believe that this is Mackey and Veselka, used to run a Bantam body, Fiat in background is Buddy Anderson (?) Texas guys, help me out here!


This is the Heth and Thompson car, I think, out of Colorado. Yes, this is the former Ivo single Buick car, then the Prudhomme blown Chrysler car, they bought it and took it to Colorado.



Kent Fuller's first dragster, the Daddy's Auto Body special, Don Johnson (later of the "Don the Beachcomber" fuel dragsters) was involved. Max Balchowsky built the Buick, ran high 130s on gas. Was once yellow, cover car on HRM, later painted blue.


Don't know whose blown Chrysler in front, but think the back bodied car is Todd "Doc" Raleigh, who build fuel dragsters in the late '50s. Once ran a double-blown Olds, later a more conventional fueler that Jim Ward drove.

 

Ill do what i can. Gotta see if my scanner works. He has......alot. Its all late 60s

 

That is Todd Raleigh's car. That's the one that earned him the nickname "Toddy The Body Raleigh".
