Early attempt to make a "Roadster" out of a coupe with top removed & doors with roll up windows filled in.
This was common back East when they could not find a real roadster.

Excellent,my man- top shelf all the way-too bad that car can't talk. And your shop is pissah (east coast term for OVER THE TOP).Can't have too much "tin" in your diet. Good luck with it and keep the pictures coming.

Damn that's lookin' good! The hood top does seem to tie it together... Going to leave the hood black, or blend it yellow like the rest?

Really starting to look like something now. I've got an extra one of those spare tire carriers that got cut up for those cycle fenders if you need to make two more. I like the caps with the yellow paint on them too, wonder if two more could be found?

Those motor mounts are very nice. Too nice for the rest of the car. You should run a bead of stick over the joints just so they aren't quite so perfect.

That's a neat little roadster, must have been hidden away for years. Those gauges are cool to, or to cool ??? Wow

This is coming together very nicely, the top setup would be killer if you could use it. I'm right accross the lake from you and I've put tops on both my roadsters, sure makes the cars much more usable in the weather we have. You've got plenty of channel even for an "east coast" car, I know it would be a lot of work, but, if you could sink the floor say 2", then raise the body maybe 2" it shouldn't really change the character but, could make it much more of a "driver" and, enable you to use that top. I just put a 500 Cad/TKO 600 combo in a prior built '29 on old duece rails, I changed a number of things a small amount, lotta work, but it was worth it in the end, car still has the same look, damn near did me in tho, did a LOT of cursing, good thing kids are grown and gone.
    Regards,
    Phil

Thanks for showing me around the shop yesterday. Your little roadster is going to be killer.
I will come by the shop again when I am in town.

    Long over due update
its coming along quite well started on my subframe just about finished

    body is mounted
also swapped rear ends to a 46 ford and shortened the torque tube

    drilled for steering box

Also made a middle K member and mounted the transmission
its rolling and is starting to look less of a mock up more like a car !

At the Round Up I picked up some old spare tire wells and started playing around with cycle fenders
