  1. If they are the same in 49 I know where I could get you one.

Those skirts look better on your car than they did in the rafters!!

I've got Jamco de-arched rear springs on my Merc and they are fab! They give a firmer ride than standard so less likely to bottom out. Shame their front springs aren't uprated, they seem to be about the same as stock, too soft for a lowered car. I've had springs custom made for the front and use Spax adjustable shocks now.

How much are they de-arched? Would love to see some pics.

Well got the new leaf springs and ended up putting 3 inch blocks on too. Sets level in the back now! Driver side used to sit 2 inches lower. Also in the middle of cleaning up the engine compartment and putting in my new wiring harness.
Question- while I have the dash I kinda was thinking about sending the gauges out to be rebuilt to 12 volt? This would eliminate the need to step down the voltage to the gauges right. Who should I send them too? Any tips while the dash is out would be appreciated. 16. I just saw these on ebay the other day. How do you like them, & do you know what gauge they are? Nice car, I am in the middle of taking everything off the body on my 49 Merc & need rockers, inner, upper & lower.

The stance looks great! Ford used a voltage regulator for many years after converting to 12v. Mac's sells this part as B9M2-10804-C.

Anybody have any experience polishing one of these dashes? It's pot metal but looks like the paint could be removed for a polish look. I have two dashes and plan on making one nice dash, the painted on is in better condition but I want a polished look. Can I just lightly sand the paint off? Thanks. Got the new wiring harness put in for the dash and engine compartment. While I was at it I thought I would go ahead and detail the motor and clean up a little. New gmcbubba alternator, edelbrock intake and carb, also Sanderson headers. Should be starting it up this week then off to get new exhaust. Before ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1398830831.205948.jpg

Well I've been driving the merc as much as I can, still working out the bugs. One I'm hung up on though. Mechanical fuel pump kept acting up so I put a electric back by the fuel tank with a filter before the pump. Worked great for about a week now the fuel pump is not pumping, I can hear it come on but no fuel. Going to pull the fuel tank out and have it cleaned. Any other suggestions are welcome. Thanks

I had one tank where the pickup tube in the gas tank had pinholes in the lower half and if I ran it down to a half tank it would start sucking air. I installed a new pickup tube and viola! perfection.
