I collect old bonneville salt flats junk. I thought it would be cool to see what else is out there. Bonneville is about as "hot rod" as it gets, so I assume it's an appropriate thread for this site. So, if you have any cool bonneville artifacts let's check 'em out!

I'll start us off with an old Bonneville Nationals 1st place trophy from 1953:

After looking at it mine is slightly different. Probably cheaper.

  5. Many people run Bonneville for years and never get a record trophy. Dad earned these in '61, '62, and '63.

  6. Dad wasn't the only one in the family that set records at Bonneville. My brother and I got this one with our 100cc fuel burning Honda.

  7. Two days later, with a partial fairing, we got this one.

I have a couple of trophies from the 70s. Not earned by but by the late Buddy Fitzgerel. Buddy was a 50 year member of the Road Runners at the time of his passing. One of the trophies is a plaque featuring the relief of a roadster. I must take some photos and post them here. My collection is a bit new to post. If I live another 50 years I'll post them.

    Cool stuff.

I've got too much "stuff". I'll limit myself to just one item.

This photo doesn't do the relief justice. Bonneville '74. Alvaney and Fitzgerel's "Thrifty Fifty".

I'm kind of an old sign junky. I scooped up these old posters awhile back.
