History Anyone remember this 50's built Iowa "truck" or this magazine?

Belonged to a friends father for a while some time after the original build (bigger pics with different taillights). I only saw it when it was blue in the 70's, was rumored at that time to have a 421 Pontiac but I never saw under the hood. Possibly went to the Clinton, Iowa area at that time. Anyone know what happened to it?

 

Cars and Clubs was a regional magazine based around Minneapolis area. It featured cars and events in the surrounding states and beyond.

Agreed, the 70s version ruined it.

 

In the color photos, it looks like Buick (?) wheel covers with some type of spinner attached to it at the outside edges instead of the center...

Anyone have any details on the wheel covers?

 

Looks like, at the time of the magazine spread, it had a 216 inline.

 

Must be at least three incarnations, the canted lights have to be a late 50s early 60s update. I don't care for the '70s rake either.

 

Amen, I've got the back pieces out in the stash but would have to come with the with a car with screwed up rear sheet metal.

Baby doll blue, sets just right and looks well done, too bad they had to update it.
