Sorry, we only focus on traditional hot rods and customs here. Ryan Cochran

So every "hot rod" here has their original frame and engine? That's the essence of "hot rodding"....using parts that are available and creating something unique!!!

Pre 1965, late model drivetrain and suspension are highly frowned on. A few slip by though. Try Dogfight (at the bottom of the page).

BTW, lots of folks have argued "parts that are available/using what you have" as traditional. It doesn't fly here.

There is nothing wrong with what you are building, it just doesn't fit within the scope of the HAMB. You are building a new truck with an old body, that is what most street rods are.

If you want a better explanation/reason for the deletions, private message a moderator.

    Below was taken from the rules;

The HAMB is dedicated to spreading the gospel of traditional hot rods and kustoms to hoodlums world wide. That’s right – TRADITIONAL. If you've come here to discuss anything other than Hot Rods or Customs built in a style representative of 1965 or before, you've come to the wrong forum.

So no one here has ever welded in a mustang II, jag, nova clip into their frame??? Or used a chevy motor in a ford? That seems a little hypocritical don't ya think? I'm using a Ford motor in a Ford and I'm building it the way I want to....not conforming to your ideological way of thinking. That is what hot rodding is all about!!!

But not HAMB defined traditional hot rodding. If you've been here since September, you should already know that.

Try DOGFIGHT Magazine, your kind of build is what it was started for.

  8. So RAF you're "that guy" that just walks through the door and starts running his mouth.... spectacular plan

Maybe so, but it's not what the HAMB is about.

    It's pretty easy to read.

As mentioned throughout these guidelines, the H.A.M.B. focuses on TRADITIONAL hot rods and customs. Posts pertaining to traditionally inspired, but not quite period perfect belong on the main forum found here. Please note that we don't focus on things such as modern fuel injected motors, big-inch wheels, frame clips, after market independent suspensions, etc... at all on the H.A.M.B.. As such, posts that stray away from the "traditional inspired" will be deleted.

Your truck is cool, but it just ain't "new HAMB" friendly...

That is NOT what the focus of THIS forum is about. I have no problem with your truck, my car is a lot like that, but this is not the place for bragging about it. Gene

There are separate sections for stuff you r building. I found a Jag swap club on here, all of my jag questions got deleted until I found that one spot.

Hike up your big boy panties and learn to play by the rules, weather you like them or not. Many people have had the same argument that you have, and failed. I posted a for sale ad, that got deleted for no price, it said make offer.

I would say don't emphasize the modern bits, or argue how right you are, being the new guy. Do you notice how some non-traditional builds and cars are widely read and followed? The builders aren't throwing their viewpoint or opinion in everybody's face, trying to prove how "right" they are. Keep the hood shut on the electronic injection, and stop arguing.

  20. Why would you argue with the board's design? You can't force your ideas on this traditional forum. Either you agree to abide by the setup or you belong in another one. Its not that hard to comprehend.

I'm not bragging at all....I just want to post what I'm working on. Is this not the "Hokey Ass Section" after all??? I didn't post it in the traditional section.

Hey RAF, read the rules and guidelines. Great car, but one far from our focus.
