Pilot house refers to the cab and windows on the 48-53 Dodge & Fargo trucks. The roof line and the glass reminded some magazine guy of the pilot house cabin that controlled the functions of the tug boats on the Mississippi River, and the name stuck. Gene

 

You just might be right. I always thought it referred to the shape of the cab?? I could definitely be wrong tho!

www.robertsmotorparts.com has brake light switches listed in one of their old catalogs, so I suspect they may still have one. Gene

Looking for a stock set of wheel for my 1/2 ton 52. Any help is greatly appreciated. I am performing a nut and bolt restoration and am only lacking the original wheels and tailgate.
