  17. The Pierson brothers coupe - formerly known as the fastest closed car in America. Thanks to some help from Bobby Meeks (of Edelbrock fame) was the first known car with slanted windshield posts. A real game changer.

    The Pierson brothers coupe when owned by George Bentley, of Sadd, Teague, and Bentley

    And here it is when it was owned by Tom Bryant. He bought it from Dick Schell in 1980 after it had been sitting for 15+ years. In two months Tom was competing out at Bonneville with the car with a SBC. It was during this speed week that Tom discovered the cars Pierson brothers history. He competed with the car till 1991 and setting many records with the car.

  19. In 1991 it was bought by Bruce Meyer and restored to how it was when it was under the Pierson brothers. The Pierson brothers and Bobby Meeks contributed quite a bit during the restoration, with Bobby building the current flathead as he did with the original. Here it was at the Grand National Roadster Show this last January.

    Dean, the (Toms muffler car)t is owened by my son and I, and we are getting it ready to run again very soon.

    We never became famous but the guy in line in front of us did.

    Bob & Dick Pierson got my Dad into Dry Lakes racing in 1946
    From 1946 - 2D Coupe at rest
    From 1950 - 2D Coupe at speed
    From 2006 - Bob & my son Chris
