Hi. How much did it cost to get the wind shield cut ?? Or did you do it, and what method ?? Was it the old glass, or a new one ??. I have a 53 ford cut 3.5". Time to go for glass. I cut the old glass with sand blast. It only has 7 cracks now, but fits very good..people say old glass is too brittle, you need a new glass... I'm thinking .25 lexan for now...cash is getting low.. Thanks, mlmlml

Slick proportions and you've already got a windshield in it so I say very nicely done, looking forward to seeing completed pics.

Let a cop stop you with Lexan w/s, if he can't find the DOT legend on the passenger side of the 'glass' the vehicle will be seized and towed.
    (just ticketed, if you're lucky)
That ticket will be a fat one...

Lexan is terrible, don't use it. If you can't chop it right, don't do it at all!

Hi hambs... I am giving up on the lexan idea....i'll have the $$$$ in july or so to let a pro do it....none of my buds are cutters.. The lexan would of been a tempory thing. With all else i have to do, this job ain't going that fast...so it can wait.

Search the forum for detailed instructions about cutting glass with a sandblaster. I saw a post here recently about it. My Auto Shop teacher knew how to do it 50+ years ago.
