I have a dual cylinder corvette style master cylinder on my 49 fleetline. It is mounted with a booster under the floor. Anyone know the fitting sizes for the front and rear ports? I need to buy a couple of fittings. I know they are both bigger than 1/4 inch... Thanks
The easier way is to take the master to the auto supply. Go to the brass fitting section and look at the master cylinder fittings. Here most have weather head brand
That would be the easy way to do it... but it is a major pita to remove the master cylinder... disconnect all the lines, and remove the remote fill too... it is way easier for me to ask lol I have a free port with a plug on it where I need to plumb up a brake switch, and another port to ...
In that case, pick up a couple flare nuts (for 5/16 and 3/8 tubing) and give them a try. Than you can go back to the parts store and get the proper size flare nuts that will fit a 3/16 inch. Hope this helps.
if you know the exact year and application of the master cylinder , looking it up on Napa online will usually tell you the port size
My book shows 9/16-18 and 1/2-20 for the stock master On 67-76 vette Those are the thread sizes, you would need the appropriate nut or adapter for your line
I just checked the M/C on my 69 with manual brakes. Both tubes are 1/4" OD. The wrench size on both nuts is 9/16". Can't tell for sure the thread size on the nuts, but from what I can see of the exposed area it looks like both are 1/2-20.

Wehen i don't know, i make a good guess. Than i buy a bag full, do the job, take the rest back. My parts man would call it fitting wars...mlmlml
