Wiring for the truck and lights run. All wiring is sealed over with tape.
Since all the wiring is covered, Brad labeled what runs were where for future servicing.

One optima red top will be mounted over the axle for electrical power.

Main fuse box and additional fuse block mounted in the kick panel area.

Firewall was stripped and redone since it wasn't up to the shops standards.

The engine and trans are back from rebuild. Summit serpentine setup. The valve covers will be upgraded before delivery.

Never took a pick of the core support mount so here it is.

The area behind the grille opening will be blacked out so the chrome will pop better.
Thanks again for the comments. It's moving along towards the end so the customer can take the family cruising.

Just an update on the car
Dakota Digital made a setup for the stock cluster and made an air pressures gauge that is a direct fit in the factory clock. Custom driveshaft is in. All lines for braking are done. The boy is coming over to put in a sump area for better fuel pickup in the cell. Car should be ready to run soon then we start doing the custom interior. Once I get new pictures I will get them up

Our nightmare was Pinky the 49 Ford business coupe bondo buggy. Best thing to happen to this car. I sold it and it later burned to the ground.

Brad sent over a new shot of the car. All sheetmetal is now mounted and aligned properly. Grille and bumper now have real mounts. The tape is there to protect the edges during assembly.

You have done a unbelievable resurrection of a P.of S. One question for you, would it have been cheaper and easier on your skills to have started off with on original car? Just asking, maybe there is a lesson to be learned here with potential new customers. Thanks, Larry

Good question. I've asked Brad a few times myself. The owner wanted his car redone. Any car we did would have ended up with new front clip and rear end. The rust is always hit or miss on old rides so that is questionable. It was amazing how it just kept getting worse the more we got into it but fabrication is a thing we do so never hurts to use your skills to see if you can save it. The body panels were solid and we only had to lower the wheel lips in the back and fill in the trim holes. Just lots of blocking and aligning. At the end of the day it was a great project and help show what the shop can do. There's still more to come like interior etc.

Funny thing is since we started this car we have had two shoeboxes come in as well.
    Thanks for the comments.

    Some more updates on it.
AC Heater going in. Gas pedal in.

    Condenser and electric fan installed
    [IMG]

Engine compartment gaining heater lines and ac lines into the bulkhead on the firewall
    [IMG]

Top reshape is almost done. Rear window is changing to a glass oval window, instead of the square plastic, from a bug to better match up with the look of the car. Turns out this top is from a merc. Little more work and it should flow correctly.

Wow, what a transformation. I'll have to keep track of this one. The good thing is that the car may actually do what the seller's add said and win a few awards after the complete redo.

Car is progressing. The roof reshaping is done except the new oval glass window.

Newly rechromed bumper on and tucked
    [IMG]

New cut windshield in. We are going to make new trim since the existing was pretty epic.

The top reshape is finishing up on the glass front. Rear window up next
    [IMG]

    New oval window mock-up begins
    [IMG]

Custom fiberglass package tray with speakers and a nice emblem
    [IMG]

Throttle pedal bump done for a cleaner better match to the brake
    [IMG]

Thanks again for viewing. Hopefully have some finished shots of the rear window. Exhaust and more magic tomorrow.
