Anyone have pics of how you guys channeled your truck cabs? I have a B cab with perfect sub rails and I'm use to cars missing everything and using square tubing.

Can it be done reusing the stock sub rails?

The side subrails are intact is my pics. I used the side subrails to route my wiring, brake lines & gas line. They offer nice protection, as well as offering additional integrity to the cab (obviously). However, my frame is "Z"ed, which maybe is contrary to your original question. I guess you're looking for ideas on how to drop a completely stock subframe over a stock frame?

you're going to have to remove the feet and move them to re-use the original subrails. there's a good thread somewhere on here where a guy maintained all the orignal stuff ont he interior--it may have been an A PU. it was slick and done right. will see if I can find the thread.

    these might help too

I'm 6' tall so interior space was real important to me when I built my truck. I cut the frame down to 3" in the interior area. That way I only loose 3" of head space, on a 6" channel. I chopped the top 4" and am comfortable with the interior room. In the interior shot you can see I still have room for a 6" seat riser, so I'm not sitting on the floor. It's actually very comfortable.
    I hope this helps.

This truck was channeled six inches, bed shortened behind the rear frame rail, and hood lengthened to accommodate V8 w/o cutting firewall. Dad and his brother bought around 1960. Still have today. The old steel sheet from the original bed is today's cab floor.

    32 for me,

Your truck is killer. Love the stance and front frame sweep is nice and subtle. Liking everything about your truck. Do you have any more pics? Pm me if you're worried about hijacking the thread.
    Thanks
    Joel
