According to my Chrysler Corporation Production Option Code Book 1962-1965 ( 3rd edition published 1999, copyright by Galen V. Govier) your tag translates as follows, read from bottom to top, left to right:

    Lines bottom and 2nd

    0529 9001 Shipping order number

0529 Scheduled production date: May 29
9001 Shipping order number (SO number includes scheduled production date number )

    342 Body number

    3 Plymouth 8
    4 Sport Fury
    2 2 door hardtop

    P4R Trim code

    P Premium buckets
    4 Vinyl
    R Red

    MM Paint code

    M Silver grey metallic
    M Roof and body

    Lines 3rd and 4th

    AB Engine
    14 426 1-4BBL 365hp HP (high performance) 8 cyl 10.5:1 C/R RB

    C Transmission
    5 Torqueflite

    E Power equipment
    4 Power windows

    J Heater
    5 Heater and defroster

    N Electrical items
    3 Back up lights

    R Mirrors
    2 Outside left remote mirror

    Lines 5th and 6th

    30 Gate sequence number
    103 Base sequence number

If I've decoded this correctly, you have quite a car there. They don't get much better. How about some pictures?

I’d like to know why the complete alphabet and number system are there? Reminds me of the chalk board doing elementary school days.
