I was looking for some movies to record on the DVR and came across these on 3/13/14. You will have to check your own TV times, we have Dish Network. 5pm Le Mans ... Steve McQueen 1971 7pm Grand Prix ... James Garner 1966 10pm The Racers ... Kirk Douglas 1955 11:30 pm The Young Racers ... Luana Anders 1963 1:30am Speed ... James Stuart 1936 I've seen the first two, but not the other three. Got em all set to record.
Thanks for posting! Le Mans (yes- the entire movie) is also on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cz_BWlUgxu0 Great for those winter nights when it's too cold to play in the garage.
"Speed is a 1936 Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer action film starring James Stewart in his first starring role, and Wendy Barrie. Although only a low-budget "B" movie, the film was notable for its realistic cinematography by Lester White, incorporating scenes from the Indianapolis 500 race and on-location shooting at the Muroc dry lake bed, used for high-speed racing by "hot rodders" in the 1930s.[1] Advance publicity trumpeted that Stewart drove the specially-prepared "Falcon" to 140 mph (230 km/h)." Reads like a winner.
Yeah I need it too. Cant find a good "free" version anywhere. Full movies are OK on YouTube, but I prefer watching em on the bigger TV with better sound.
All this vintage auto film fun starts at 7pm Central. I can't record it, so it's going to be an all nighter. Of course, the one's I haven't seen start at 12:15am. No-Doz and coffee are on standby.
Two movies down and 5 cups of coffee, heavy sugar. When the sun comes up, I'll do an oil change (depending on hand shake), wait for the morning commuters to get in their cubicles and hit the road. BBBZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ............
That's what I was thinking. My wife was watching one of her shows on the computer last night and I asked her why. For some reason a couple of my shows didn't record the other night ... Hmmm, that's weird ... insert *evil laugh*
Thanks. That is the first time ever I was able to watch Grand Prix. I have been looking at the promos for it since I was a kid reading dads HRMs! I think it is a better show than Lemans.
I DVR`ed all of them. I only been able to see LeMans so far. Friday night Iwas able to get the Album from the movie for 3 bucks at Half Price Books.
