This is a super-fine machine! It's like a cross between Multy Aldrich's ‘22 roadster and the Saultzbaugh car:

How much is it chopped? I love the early hinges spliced into the later posts.

    Nice....Very nice! (slow clapping)..Bravo

I am so glad to see such a nicely executed "GowJob". The style, fit and finish is perfect. I love that intake setup too...have a '19 touring that could use something like that in the near future.

    Welcome to the club :D

Bigcheese327, the windshield is chopped 8". It's lowered 8" rear and 9" front. The oil plug is 4" from ground. I'm so glad you like it and yeah... it's a clone.. but how many cars are not clones..?

  8. Such a cool car. I would love to see your car and Mr Model T car together side by side.

I don't know if I'd say "clone" so much as "inspired by" - and that's definitely OK! As you say, there are no completely original builds.

Isn't there some kind of Paris-to-Peking antique car rally? Sounds like a good reason to me.

I am wondering what spindles you are using on that front axle - I am trying to find some that will allow me to use a conventional box with a drag link that clears the spring perch.

Kume, I used the original model T spindle from 26-27 which lowers the car a Little bit more then the 17-25. The best is if You can find a pair of spindles from U.K. they are the lowest ones. Together with a Mercury front axle You will have several inches without any bending.
Well.. to Your question. I have model A steering arms that suits the T spindle without any modification. BUT.. You have to warm and bend the arm to clear the spring perch. Heat until the metal is Cherry red, bend the arm and let it cool SLOWLY by it self.

Also forgot to tell You that the tie rod ball is cut off and relocated to the underside. Drill a hole and put in a weld in style one.

    Thanks Tom
I am fitting 1927 chev spindles which have very similar steering arm configuration to the A and a higher stub axle to the T (about an inch higher ). The problem is bending the steering arm to clear the axle and spring perch without affecting the steering geometry.

The driving season is coming rapidly so i spent some time in garage today preparing the jalopy for the upcoming events.
A couple of weeks ago i also could check one line in the book of Dreams.. the jalopy was featured in the latest issue of Swedish Gasoline Magazine. YES..!!
However this is a picture from last summer.

This will be my Winter Project. A -28 Chevy head. Found a Jern set here in Sweden!
Any ideas about carb/s and intakes? Straight short, two carbs Holley NH? Long intake two Zenith? Long intake one or two Tillotson?
I really like the Tillotson X i use now, but two carbs look better i believe, but will probably drive me crazy tuning . Any suggestions? It has to be time period. Winfield.. Yes.. but does not suit my wallet unfortunately.
Second, is there any replacement valves? 65-70 olds 455 exhaust for example or others?
