Event Coverage OFFICIAL Vintage Torque Fest 2014 Thread May 2-4 Dubuque Iowa

after a complete bust on the dirt track last year - we asked the fairgrounds if we could stick around on Sunday JUST IN CASE there is no track action on Friday/Saturday.....
So the last chance to get on the dirt will be Sunday about noon.
We will have bloody mary brunch with a Blessing of the Cars and Bikes along with a old time gospel set by Rodney and the Regulars in the morning around 1045am. I think the drag strip will be open for test and tune so if people want to go out there - I am pretty sure they are open for business.

Can't wait...to those of you complaining about last year we had a blast. We drove in snow and rain all the way there and my '49 didn't melt??? Must have been o.k. Yeah the weather wasnt ideal but the trip was so worth it and John was an awesome host as well as all the other people that put a hand in it, not to mention all the great people that we met. And to the fellow Hambers that were there for breakfast meet and greet are you planning on it again? I'll be there unless something unexpected comes up.

 

Oh yeah. The breakfast meet & greet will be back.

Haven't missed one yet. Have been looking forward to this one all winter. Hoping to not have to drive thru the snow and freezing rain this year to get there though. If all goes well this will be the first trip for the 40 coupe I've been building. If you've never been to a show John puts on you better put this on your list. There are none better.

What days breakfast n where?

 

Breakfast will be on Friday morning at 7:30. I am open for suggestions as to the location. Last year, it was at the Sunshine Restraint located downtown. Im sure they would love to have us return unless there are other ideas.

Last year we stayed at the Days Inn on hwy 20, there were quite a few people with rides there.....Don't know if I can make it for this breakfast but hopefully still be there for Sat? I did like the Sunshine, it was quiet and we had the whole back room to ourselves.

 

I stay at the camping area! I ll try n make it if im not to soggie !
