The "ridge route" at the top of the hill, Gorman, CA. This is now part of the I-5 going between L.A. and Bakersfield. Whenever it rains in SoCal, it can snow around Gorman (approx. 4,000-foot elevation).

Heading north to the infamous Grapevine, where the legendary Hot Rod Lincoln and Cadillac race took place. Also when it snowed there, High Schools all around ditched to go play in the snow, mine included.

I collect City of Chicago Vehicle Tax tags like the ones pictured here. Hard to find era images that show the tags clearly...

Anyone know who the passenger is with Sophia? I tried looking it up and couldn't find a thing!

  13. This one is for the old timers, how many out their recall the poor man's quick change rear ends? An article I wrote back a number of years ago.

1958 Yardman Corvette gas powered promotional car with aftermarket headlights added for night driving. Yes indeed he is a gearhead today. And a vintage ad for them.

Why does it look like the car is a RHD in this photo and is that Dean laying on the ground with his head raised? I always thought he was killed instantly.
