It's eleven days till Autorama Detroit and I'm making some good progress on my pickup. I installed a dropped axle from Sid's, lowered the rear like Kevin Lee did on his F1. Got some new G78-15s' and spider caps from Coker mounted up. I've had numerous setbacks with my flathead and it's not going to be ready for the show. So I threw a dummy motor in there to get the front end lower. It's really close to where I want it, just needs a little tweaking. Thanks guys, got a chance to roll it out the other day and stand back to see how it sits in profile. The front was still too high but I'm running out of time to tear the front end off and start over. So I'm going to put a couple 1.5" spacers in the rear and level it out. It looks okay but I want it lower. Tucked the front bumper in and got the brakes bled and steering buttoned up so at least it will steer and stop when I shove it off the trailer. My flathead still isn't ready so I'm going to give it a good cleaning and call it ready for Autorama. It would have been nice to get that flathead out of my snowbound shop so you could have driven it into Cobo. Oh well, at lest it's looking good to have it on the road this summer.

The roof lights work with the current paint. If you repaint it ditch them.

No, check out the way Kevin Lee did his. Basically raised the spring mounts to plates on top of the chassis.

Thanks guys, I like the cab lights for now. The truck had gigantic side mirrors too but I ditched them. Originally I planned on going with a dropped farm truck vibe but it's slowly evolving into more of a custom. When/if it gets painted and I try to make it nice I'll probably scrap them as well. Here's a before and after. ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1393952696.404907.jpg ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1393952705.098565.jpg
