Beautiful, I loved building models when I was a kid in the 50/60's sometimes I wish I had kept building them instead of the real ones!
I finally started on one of the Revell-Monogram big t kits last weekend.. Man, there's allot to do on these things... I'll try ond post some pics on here when I'm done with it...

Man, today seems to already be a great day customs. Love those altereds, too. Mine is a '51 Chevy convertible done as an early '50's custom. I used the AMT '51 convertible with quite a few modifications to correct the kit flaws, most notably the wacked out windshield frame & vent windows. The hood was also extended, front & rear, to look more like the 1:1. The '49 Cadillac grille started out as a stock unit from Modelhaus, & I modified it to fit the Chevy. The front bumper is also a '49 Caddy from Modelhaus. The basis of the top is the custom top from the Monograram '48 Ford with lots of modifications to make it fit. Model Car Garage Sombrero wheel covers on Modelhaus T-270 tires with modified white walls. Appleton spotlights from Replicas & Miniatures of Maryland, modified a bit. The rear bumper is also a Modelhaus '49 Caddy bumper that I modified quite a bit on the ends. The taillights are turn signal pods from the '51 Chevy grille, frenched vertically into the fenders. The paint is Sally Hanson "Wine Not" nailpolish over a black base. The engine is from the AMT kit with air cleaners from Replicas & Miniatures of Maryland. Various details added with wire, styrene & photo etch. More details on the build here: http://www.customcarchronicle.com/model-cars/steve-bouttes-1951-chevy-convertible/
Nice work everyone. I was lucky, found this one this morning down about 10 threads from the top on Page One. Just found the other one a couple minutes ago.
started a new build with my son on the weekend ('32 3 window), unfortunately didn't get it finished due to a paint issue. We did dig up a few of my old builds though and repaired them and put them on display in the living room. thanks guys and girls, keep the good stuff coming. this is one of my favorite threads of the week. I gotta get some of my other projects done so I can contribute more regularly.
