Nicely done...I too have a small block 30 roadster and am gonna put a hood on it..my question to you is where'd you move your generator? mine sticks out a mile. And did you shorten your radiator at all?

thanks everyone !!! I gotta admit,,sometimes when I m building a car with all the long nights & weekends and $$$ spent sometimes I wonder why the hell I do it,, but when other people appreciate it it makes it all worth it...

I cant take all the glory though...I bought it as a mocked up roller. I don't normally buy other peoples unfishished projects, but I loved they way this one sat., to me it had so much potential..once I got it home I realized it needed more work than I anticipated, but then again I don't think Ive ever bought a project that was less work than anticipated,,
Basically my first goal was to get it running and drivable..which included all new brake system, lines, hoses, shoes wheel cylinders etc. all new fuel lines and mounted the tank, custom made driveshaft, reworked trans mount & shifter, new toeboards & trans tunnel, mounted the decklid with late 50's early 60's british sports car hinges..complete wiring front to back, mounted the seat low on custom adjustable risers so I didn't look like a monkey f!*c#! a football, gas pedal, new center mounted alternator (will that get me kicked outta traditional forum!?) added hoses, pulleys balancer ,new distributor,re built the rearend..new body mounts (8 instead of 4)and im sure im forgetting some other small things...

Then after it was drivable I turned to making it look like mine..i dressed up the engine with more correct dress up items like vintage finned VC's..and a 50's oil bath air cleaner converted to 4bbl & papper element. then i guess the main thing was a hood, the first time I saw this car I new if it was mine it had to have a hood,, I found a pretty decent stock hood and lenghtend it
1 5/8 along with a pie cut above the body line so the body line wasn't running up hill and other slicing and dicing to make it fit, after the hood the lake headers had to go so I added rams horns along with my custom made exhaust (no mufflers right now, but may add later) swapped the headlights for 35/39 ford pu's . latched the hood & decklid down ,Hollywood license plate light, a lil shinny black paint on the chassis grill & wheels.40 ford rings, repaired the beat up 40 ford dash(another reason I was sold on this car, I love a 40 ford dash in a early hot tord and this one was supposedly grafted in back in the day) then had the seat recovered ,,then addressed some body issues and then topped it off with a fresh coat of dk gray (not black!) primer...

I am very very stoked with the way it turned out,,ive always had a dear spot for model a roadsters on deuce frames,,, so I am very happy! thanks again!

p.s. heres a pic of the way I bought it.
