My first car was a '51 Fleetline. I'd give just about anything these days for a coupe though. Great thread, guys!
My 50. It ain't done but it sure is fun- Dropped in a 55/235 last summer someday I'll have rolls and pleats- If I can get off my ass haha
Here's the car that does it for me. Maybe it's because I'm from Salinas as well and I'm a little biased...
Maybe you should re read the title of this thread and look for one that says Your Favorite 53-54 Chevrolet .....
Nice car parked at one of my favorite places on Earth with my buddy, Spike's, band advertised on the sign! Great trade!
^^^^Really wanted to see them at Don's but had prior engagements that night. Hoping to catch them at VLV this year!^^^^
Anyone know what the trim is on the fender on this one? Is it just another piece of 49/50 door molding? I've been thinking I need a little stainless molding on the side of my car.
Looks like a 49/50 original just moved down to wheel opening instead of by the head light Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
Looks to me like the car is a 51/52 and that is the stock chrome trim on the side. I had to shorten mine when I put the 52/54 Ford/Merc fender arches on it. The door piece is at the stock height and the fender piece is shortened about 1 foot. I found out later that a 49 Pontiac fender piece is just the right length. BB
Thanks for the info. I thought that the 51 and 52 had the same side trim but a after a little searching it looks like they did not. The picture has the 52 trim on it.
My favorite for sho!!!!! Saw it in Vegas Wishing I was on the salt watching some fast cars go by me!!!!!!!
anybody have pics of the one that was featured in street rodder mag in the mid 70's i believe it was built by pete chapouris, the title of the feature was swing low sweet chariot, if my memory serves me correct, i believe a 52, really sweet hardtop chevy!!!!!
