Just bought this rare 52' buick. Plans are :
    -color change
    -lower it a few inches
    -upholstery
    -shave a few things
-make it a reliable cruiser again

Stayed up late last night viewing all the bad reviews on Hot Rod Flatz . Was hoping to save some money but might just resort to good ol regular base coat. I'm still trying to locate a few parts for the engine

if its just the chrome ring you need i got one if you want it. i dont think there was a difference between left and right or between the ones on your 48s and my 48d. i am swapping my headlights any ways plus i only have 1 so it does me no good. sure we could work something out :) and with it being the sport they only made 2206 of them so i would go out on a limb and say they are fairly rare not your dozen made rare but just enough to be cool rare.

The parts place in Fresno has almost everything you need. I picked up a seat and few other parts for my 49 Sedanette. I was surprised how much Buick stuff is there. They had a row of 51-52 Buicks in the back row of one of their lots. I picked up the bottom seat brackets out of one. Just bring cash and TOOLS !!!

    Hope that helps.

Thanks. would like to first make it drivable anywhere across the country. We've been everywhere in the wagon and I want the same. Then, Olds headlights/fender mods and then maybe some rear end treatment to make it flow a little better for my taste.

What do you guys think as far as kustomizing this thing ? Colors ? Hubcaps ? Shaved ? Chopped ? I'm having a really hard time picking a new color too.

When you start customizing and taking off the Buick parts you don't want, let me know.. I may buy them off of you for my Dad's 52.

I've got a '50 Special Sedan, please keep me in mind if you're scrapping anything. I know a lot of the trim stuff won't be the same, but some of the mechanicals may be. I know I need wiper arms, somehow I have plenty of wiper blades/refills.
