No not that car - but I took it to Deuce Days in Masterton 2012 Roy Brizio driving it Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
Bolted the T sub frame down on to my Deuce chassis jig. I now have a sturdy platform to work from to square up the body and frame it out. Got the rear section sitting on there and will move forward and mount the cowl etc this week. Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
Tonight's progress - next up square this up and make a spine type frame to hold the body in place to steel frame it out... Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
That looks soooooo familiar. I was basically doing this same thing with mine about 4 months ago except I ditched the middle of the body and turned it into a roadster. There is alot more steel in your body than was in mine. I have never seen steel subrails, even those braces on the back panel are steel. Mine were wood.
Ya, that's what I was saying earlier! Every "T" I have has had a wood subframe before '26... Interesting.
I wonder how a narrowed tub would look. You know how they sometimes take a roadster and narrow it to one seat? I wonder how a tub would look narrowed to two seats - one behind the other. Just thinking out loud. I'll stop now.
I think the New Zealand T's came from Canada, although I noticed your tub doesn't have an opening driver door like the Canadian bodies. the other complete black one in the picture does. Looks like a good build. Going to follow this one.
This body was imported from the USA - I don't know too much about T's so it's all quite new to me so not sure re the metal subframe or wood. I have been repairing the doors and even started to roll up the tube frames for the doors. Next up is to finish jigging the body and start on the frame out Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
Good looking Greg, seing you guys on here makes me wont to come back home and hang with all you guys like the old days,I will be looking at this . It makes me wont to build another one sum day.Trevor..
The more you bolt to these floppy bodies the stronger it becomes - case in point was the screen stanchions. Bent some tubing up. The square 1" is for the door posts for hinges and latches to attach to. The small round tube is for the door frames themselves. Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
