Cruisn' Across FL

I found this on the FL Car Shows site...looks like a great opportunity for some of us to get out and cruise!

"It's a Reliability Run. It's a cruise in. It's a rolling car show from Daytona Beach to Crystal River. There's photo ops. It's seeing the sun rise and set on the water in the same day! It's about 150 miles, and it's gonna be fun!"

"The Cruisin' Across Florida road trip will give participants the opportunity to travel east-to-west across the entire state, enjoying the sun rise on the water in Daytona Beach, then set on the water in Crystal River. Along the way, there will be some stops of interest, and some photo ops. The drive is about 150 miles.
There will be a Host Hotel in both Daytona Beach and Crystal River, and the room rates will be deeply-discounted.
On June 27th, we'll gather at the Host Hotel in Daytona Beach for an evening Cruise In.
On June 28th, we'll photograph our cars as the sun rises over the ocean, have breakfast, then cruise south to New Smyrna Beach.
From there, we'll travel west on SR 44. We'll travel through Deland, Mt. Dora, Leesburg, Wildwood (and other towns), stop for lunch, then continue to Crystal River.
We'll visit the host hotel, check in, have an early dinner on the water, then cruise to Ft. Island Beach, where we'll photograph our cars as the sun sets on the Gulf of Mexico.
Pete and Judy Kochura of Vintage Vehicle Visions will travel with us, documenting the weekend. A CD, containing at least 200 high-quality photos, will be available to purchase for $25 (cash only, payable at the Friday Cruise In).
We expect to have most of the details published in mid-March, and we hope you'll join us on this road trip!"

No more info than this yet, but I will share as I see it...

 

This sound's like a lot of fun. Imagine actually driving hot rod's instead of parking them. Keep us posted.

Sounds interesting, driving them is what is all about, not sitting in parking lots.
