Thanks for the replys guys. I will say this was one of the better indoor car shows I have been to in a long time. Thanks -Q
I live here and didn't go...$25.00 per day gate fee? wtf...same cars I see every year, except for a few...nice pics tho.
I hear ya. My father and I talked to one gentleman with a '32 roadster and he told us it was $50 extra if you put a for sale sign in your car. It does seem to me that Starbird is trying to take in as much money as possible. But then again he is handing out a 10k check at the end of the weekend. Probably a little nerve racking to pay all the bills and pay that award and still make a little money. If it weren't for the Iron Orchid, the '57 Chevy Truck and the collection of bubble top cars I would have thought it was a waste of money. But getting to see all of those cars I thought it was ok.
My brother went and said these cars were a tiny percentage of all the crap he had to walk by Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
I had more fun then I've had in years at a Starbird show. I went Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I was looking for Larry and I missed seeing you. It cost me but hanging out with my Kustom and Hot Rod friends was money well spent. Everyone was very happy that the monster trucks were not there.... I missed ya Larry.
I've been to 7 consecutive Starbird shows, this one was the best by far. There were 942 cars and no monster trucks. It was the 50th anniversary Starbird show. It was good to see a locally built car win best of show.
