looking to buy 1955 chev truck with the spare tire in the rear fender. dont like this want to put a patch on the rear fender. does anyone make one. it has a 350 or 283 three speed manual trany.want to change to late model top loader 5 speed .what car or truck would look for. will they bolt up to a small block
might be easier and cheaper just to replace fender. for trans info do a search here or, 67-72chevytrucks.com ( have sections for older trucks)
55 FIRST OR 55 SECOND SERIES? Either way it can be cut out and patched but I do not think you will find a ready made patch panel. For trans the t-5 is the most common swap do a search there is a ton of info on this swap here.
If you could find a fender that is damaged or rusted out somewhere apart from the piece you want, that would be the best way to get a patch.
There was a tech posted just last week called ultimate t5 tech I think. It has the best info on what works with what. It helped me with some of my questions.
