Good luck to all the teams running. Hope you have a safe and successful weekend. We had planned to be there, but just couldn't make it. Sounds like you are going to have good weather too. Hopefully next year!!
Making the pilgrimage from the east coast to Bakersfield with the 134 AA/Fuel Coupe. Back on track for first time in 30 years. Lots of posts and videos (You Tube) elsewhere on it's travels and effort to get it back and put back on track. It is one of the few (if not only) cackle cars that can actually run legally down the track. Engine is now a 472" Donovan with 331 heads - runs on 75%. First check out passes in late August and had front end wobble issues. That was resolved at Epping, NH and Pittsburgh Raceway Park in Sept. Will make some harder runs at Bakersfield. Paul Gold ("Goldy"), Pete Coffield and I will make the long drive and meet up with a friend, Mark Labranch, who's flying in from New England. Photos - vs. the Mooneyham & Sharp Coupe, Indy 1989, recently on check out pass at Pittsburgh Raceway Park's Pittsburgh International Dragway Reunion Race a few weeks ago, at Don Schumacher Racing where it was "cackled" at the NHRA Nationals (that's Patty DiCicco with coupe, daughter of Ron DiCicco, original driver of the Mooneyham car - she came out to see us).
