Any ideas where a person can look for a new performance camshaft for a '53 plymouth flathead? I have heard about several places that will re-grind an original, but I would rather have a new one. Thanx..(hope this post is in the right place, my other one was deleted)

There are several ways to do this but be fore warned it will not be cheap. You can have a round steel bar of a alloy of your choice cut or turned to make a blank to be ground. But your best bet is to contact cam grinding companys & see if they will build one for you. It would be to your advantage to just have the old cam reground unless you are building a very special race engine.

I've used Edgy for two cams now and he does a great job. If you are looking for a cam to send to him, I've got a few extra stock ones. PM me if interested.
