also the racers have to buy a vehicle pass for whatever, scooter, golf cart, etc. but that's been true the last few years... but....it's still worth it, best damn car show, drag race of nostalgia cars ever....... my friend with the 49 Hudson and 47, told me 3 years ago, if you go once , you'll never miss another......

You guys talking about hotel rooms are missing out. The camping at Bowling Green rules. It's a great grounds and a great time, all just on the other side of the fence. No traffic!

If it was just me and buddies I'd be into camping. But a wife, 5 yr old, and a 1 yr old in a tent with no indoor pisser doesn't quite work.

I guess that depends on the wife;). I camped there with my wife and little one several times. I did have to get up a couple of times and walk with one or both of them to the bathroom, though. Totally worth it.

I hope they do ban some of the Golf Carts and such. It was starting to get a little monotonous!

X2 on the golf carts. I think there were as many of them as there were cars last year.

Do a Bing search of the Bowling Green area.
Plenty of good places to eat.
We have never had a problem with eating while in Bowling Green!
Believe it or not the food at the track isn't half bad and more than a few choices!

Chuys is a good mexican restaurant. There are several in the way back to the motels if you go the back way. I race the event and stay at the track. Can't beat it! There's always Waffle house!

X2 on Chuy's. All you can eat at the "Nacho Bar" plus your meal. No way you can leave hungry.

Sleep is overrated! It's going to take a lot to top last year in the campground. Hard to beat a visit from jungle Pam and then the state police.

We had a guy ripping through the the grounds with his girlfriend topless on the back of his bike at about 2 in the morning (the second year of the show) I was going to get out of the tent to see what was going on but didn't feel like getting up,he crashed on the corner of where my tent and she was standing there topless,oh well.

B.A., to get to Chuy's, take I-65 south from Beech Bend to exit 22. Go west about 1/4 mile and Chuy's will be on your right. If you leave there hungry it will be your own fault. I'm sure Carlos will like it there.

You are more than welcome to tag along. Eight Ohio roadsters are leaving Indy on the morning of June 6th.

WOW, thanks so much for the offer and if I hadn't just started a new job a few months ago I certainly would have given major thought to your offer. I just can't take that kind of time off this year. Thanks so much though!
