Projects Does anyone repro a 48 Chevy Deluxe grill?

I would rather have a real one, but I have not had luck finding one. So I am now looking for a repro. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks , Rick

all the 47-48 ones i have seen over here have been chrome on steel with diecast outer for the '46s only.
I could be wrong but don't think they actually made them in stainless..

 

I have a 47 Chev, that has some stainless pieces in it; which is about half of the grille. The other side is chromed steel.

BTW, I've never seen a repop grille for one of these; which doesn't mean that they don't. The rechromed grilles seem to bring a lot of cash. You might be better off looking for a used grille.

 

look on chevybombs.com and you should find some for sale. if not post an ad in the wanted section and I promise you many will respond with grills for sale. Ive sent some to the mid west on grey hound for 75 bucks in the recent past so that will give you an idea on shipping.

 

We're talking about a car grille, right? Not a Deluxe pickup truck grille?
