Hey, Nice work. I'm the yo yo over in the 30's section building a coupe out of a PU cab. I now feel i cheated by doing a simple flat skinned louvered trunk lid. Ray
Settles some of the arguement that you need to have the latest greatest new tool before attempting these projects. I might have to print a picture of the guy with the VW sheetmetal to remind myself. Thanks for sharing your work, inspiring indeed.
Beater32 once built a 36 3W coupe out of a 36 mordoor sedan. He is indeed a very talented man, moreso because you would be suprised how few tools he uses. I'm priveliged to count him a friend.
haha mutha fu**Ker! I was searching for this thread last week under DECKLID! God I'm a moron! Dude, you did a great job! I'm gonna print this out and get started! And everyone at the shop said it couldn't be done! I'll show them!
not much progress. chassis is at my welders getting everything final welded. I am now selling my roadster body, trying to get a 32 coupe body instead. Rules are making this thing spiral out of financial control, and the coupe will help alleviate some of that $$$. I'll post some up when I get my chassis back, and get everything put back in it.
Appreciate this thread greatly. I'm going to go out and try making a T coupe trunklid now. Thanks to you. Doug.
thanks beater32 for the inspiration to try and do the same for my 29 Dodge Brothers Coupe, couldnt find an original ANYWHERE lol
About time ya lazy bugger! Looking good! For any that dont know, Beater32 is as good a metal worker as any in the business.
Great, I just started building a new deck lid for my 27 T today using 3/4 tube and now I gotta redo it. Great job, looks good
Good to see you getting on top of things and doing some stuff for yourself. So will it be ready for the Pre 49s this time next year??
I don't think so unless my numbers come up. Aiming for paint this year, I'll be happy (ish) with that.Given up on a deadline, seen several come and go...!
