I just bought a 1950 Chevy Coe car hauler and someone has cut the dash out of it. Im pretty sure these dashes were welded in when they were new not bolted am i correct on that? if so where would be the best place to get a replacement dash and what would be the best way to go about putting it back in? P.S. I haven't gotten it home yet to clean it as soon as it gets home its getting a really good bath!!
Sweet Truck!!!!! Like ink said find something cool and weld it in. Big A `s dash swap http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=626123&page=28
If you can find a junk cab, cut it out as close to the flanges as possible and maybe you can make it so it can be bolted in. Is it just the light or did that thing burn at some point?
I could really see a 1951-1952 car dash in there-Two toned of course!! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showpost.php?p=8619671&postcount=35

If you can get a dash out of any 47 to 53 Chev/GMC P/U cab it should work, other wise find some thing you like and cut to fit. Good luck with your project, looks like a cool truck. ........................Jack
