My headers showed up, and I couldn't be happier! Speedway motors $240 shipped. More updates Thursday...

Spent over an hour reading this thread, and like a lot of people the first thing I thought when I saw that body was to take the awkward out of the rear fenders. I'm glad that despite the gazillion "experts" telling you it needed to happen that you have continued to ignore them. Cut those fenders and it will look like the rest of the Ford/Chevy/Mopar cars on the road and will lose it's individuality. I say keep the fugly and let em smoke. I also noticed that motors didn't last long when I was younger...apparently they build them better now.

I think this car might be even more ridiculous than ever before.

Huh...not sure how to take that? But I guess I just wasn't stalking close enough to see the shots with the body on. Looks pretty killer though.

Oh ok...cause I don't really think of myself as stalkery. I just like to look at people through their windows and watch them sleep. Does that make me such a bad guy?

This thread is very inspirational to me because I'm starting my first hot rod at 15 years old.

Quite the story; you put some of us old duffers to shame.

BTW, when someone suggested that you mount a big-block in your rod, I don't think that's what they really meant...

Best of luck with it at the drags this year!

Hahaha. I got my ass handed to me at the drags 2 years ago. Last year I had already broke it before. This year I will kick ass!

  27. The Spinach Monster looks sicker and sicker every year, Marty. Try not to grenade the engine / transmission / rear end before the HAMB drags this year. ;-)
