Thanks for your input guys. It will be interesting to see how it performs on the dyno. I will be getting it back to the engine builder for the test runs. HP & torque will show how these little engines do.;)

I love the small details of rebuilding a car project. This is the 1940 Willys steering wheel restored with horn button. We had the 1963 Sun Tack restored with the "MAG" Transmitter. These old Sun Tacks are still cool. The transmitter will mount on the firewall. Just like old times.:)

Good to see steady progress Loren - I love what you are doing. I just put my '40 coupe back together this past couple of days - no engine in it at the moment but it is set up for a wild SBC. At least it looks like a Willys again....:)

Thank you Brian. Just a little time spent buffing will make the frame real nice. We have no trailer. The car is to be a street and strip driver. I just live by my old quote.

Being that were using a fuel cell, I decided to move the gas filler to the drivers side. I spent hours going over different gas filers. some with lids, other that Looked like they came off a sports cars. Then I found this little item. It is off a motor cycle tank. Nice and small. Will fit the body real nice. I will massage the screw in lid to fit perfect with the body contour. You may note that before installing the bung. I had it plated, so no rust.:D

  22. Nice work on the gas cap! What motorcycle is the cap from?

Have been looking at the flush mount gas filler doors, but not sold on them... I like what you have done better!

The front axle is together. All nuts and bolts are stainless polished. I have already installed a 2" block to get the front end up a little. The Wilwood brakes worked out perfectly. I love the look of chrome... It looks like I still need a spindle nut. I can't find one at any parts house. I'm sure they are manufacture specific. Hope some one has one they can send me.:)

Talk about some nice bling! That's stunning!

  27. The car is going to be awesome!! Love that axle. As for a blown SBC, they are great. My 406 blown engine in my 1930 Model A runs like a raped ape, on steroids! And it is also a street-strip DRIVEN CAR, the way it should be.

Thank you guys. Yes the chrome work is outstanding. Hard to get nice chrome work these days. In my early post of the engine. This one is 433cuin SBC. 671 blower. It is at the builders dyno now for testing. I will let you know the results.
