New Member (Austin, TX) Looking For Info.

    I joined the H.A.M.B. group recently, since I am interested in building a Model A hotrod and have been scouring the countryside for a project vehicle. Two questions - one, is it worth buying a nicer, more expensive A versus a basket case to avoid the cost and work involved with any rust / ding repair, rot, etc.? Two, anyone know of a reputable hotrod shop in the Austin, Texas vicinity for repair, advice, maintenance, and so forth? Thanks for any information you can provide. Johnny

    Thanks for the input. I would buy a rod already put together, but cannot ever find one I like that has a manual transmission. I'll see what the Speed Shop has to say. Thanks again. JW
