Tulsa SDRA

What's up with no SDRA schedule.
I went on Tulsa raceway and nothing.
Is there going to be a SDRA booth at Starbird this year ,are guys racing at Tulsa anymore?

We are not having a booth at the Starbird Show, there may be a few cars there. The Drag Strip is increasing the amount of shows by more than 30 this year. So it will take a little while to get it finished. They also just got the Drag Week. If we had a booth, it might slow down building of the new cars that are being built and cars being changed.

 

we are trying for a consistent 8 car field this year. we have 4 cars nearing completion David Bridgewater /Jeep, Ken Backward/chev Doug Bitsco/ford,Bill Ridenour/chev. two other cars are in the first stages of construction maybe by the end of the season . Don Alexander is freshing uphis car after laying off last year to repair his house and shop from storm damage. more news later L J

 

If it was me I would just race on fun drag days.
I was looking forward to a steady race schedule.
If you want a good car count you need to promote it.
I have a car in the works.

well Hoss we have 3 races for sure the 2 throwdowns and the nitro nationals. we have been raceing Friday night tnts but the track added a number of events ,it seems like they want make money so they can keep the doors open. the 2014 rules are listed on the raceway site .click rules . the track controles when we run, they been good to us in the past when we know you will know L J.

 

Can you race on Sundays when they have the fun drags.
I think you would do better to use a day like Sunday. The track is going to want to use Friday night and Saturday for the big money events.
You guys start to drop like flys when it gets late in to the evenings.

I'm up in Collinsville I race an Altered "T" now and I'm working on a SDRA car.
I mostly race at MoKan. I have to travel there because Tulsa just doesn't cater to the poor boy. I have a track in my back yard and I have to travel two and a half hours to race.

As you can see on the above post, Thanks Toymaker, we do a lot of our racing on test-n-tune nights, so you probably will not see any races scheduled on those nights, by the track.
