Nice work, shouldn't have shown anyone this and told people they were a very rare set, one off, edelbrock heads and a super rare twin dissy timing cover.

  13. I really like your twin distributor conversion on the timing cover. Both distributors will look so cool once it is all finished.

  14. I'm so glad you're not a good looking man Pete.

  17. amazing! I've been thinking about dual spark plug heads lately.... is the theory just that more spark ignites the air/fuel mixture better giving more power?
you do amazing work by the way.

Dual spark simply ignites the fuel air mixture faster- and it burns faster- when running high rpm the engines benefit and run more efficiently... Not to mention the redundancy- if one ignition failed the other would get you down the track-

That's mind blowing tech right there!
Beautifully photographed as well...thanks for sharing.

Wish you had waited toward the end of tech week. Your genius piece might have others filing their tech away for the next time.

Clever bugger Pete but we always knew that. Knowing that you couldn't spare a set of ali heads I still reckon your plums must fill the bath tub!
    Top work as ever

    Amazing work, Pete!
Just a question for you on the placement of the secondary spark plugs:

Have you done a 'mag check' (as they refer to ignition check in aircraft) to see which set runs more efficiently at 2,000 RPM? (run with one ignition, then switch to the other)
I'd be interested in knowing...(I guess I spent too many years with BMWs, got inquisitive & 'analytical'!)
    Thanks for an inspirational read!

  29. WOW. This is very clever n you made it look easy. Nice work!
