Good deal bro ! Looks bitchin. That shock mount should work out good for you. Make sure you set it up with enough clearance now so nothing has issues when its on bags and dumped. Might save yourself some work in the long run.

So now I have a new problem....I have plenty of room on the outside of the tire to clear the fenders, but now Im rubbing on the inside of the tire when Im turning or hitting bumps at an angle. So Im thinking maybe a 1/2" spacer plate will do the trick, but at the same time it seems kind of sketchy because Id be losing some thread on the lug studs. Any thoughts or opinions?

Im kinda doin a 180 with the direction of my truck. Im sellin the smallblock to a friend and throwin together a nice little 454 backed with the muncie I already have and beefin up the 9 inch with a ladder bar setup. I was going to fab a new chassis this winter for air ride but ive had the itch to build a drag toy for a while so im just fabbin a chassis for a drag style build

Also lemme know what size spacer you need. I have four 3/4" spacers ill give you for free. There multi lugs that I had on my bel air for a while. If your studs are too short u should be able to pick up longer ones for a few bucks. And as long as your not launchin it down the strip I wouldnt worry about strength

That'll be gnarly! I haven't seen to many of these trucks set up to race! I'm gonna try some 1/2" spacers for now, but if I still need more room I'll totally take you up on those spacers. Thanks dude!

Got the shocks in last weekend thanks to my good buddy Vince! We ended up using some old lower shock tabs he had laying around, and just made a bridge across the notch and mounted the shocks off that. It rides nice now! No more bouncing all over the road.

Also got the wheel spacers on last night, so the inside of the tires don't rub anymore. Had to swap out wheel studs to make room for em. But before that I ran outta gas, lost my drivers side taillight, and blew out a couple of fuses, all at once. After messing around with it my friend and I figured out the cheap tail light connector was touching the socket it goes into and was shorting out, which is what blew everything.

Waiting for my buddy to drop off some gas. Maybe it's time to get the gas gauges working haha.

Put some new old fenders on and straightened out a few things on the bed. My friend also shot some nice pics of it at the abondoned air base by my house.

Looks good. I prefer that stance to the stink bug most of these trucks run. I'm gonna do everything in my power to make my POS sit low & level, but I can already tell it'll be a fight.

    What's next?

Thanks man! I'm not sure what I wanna do next. I've been kinda tight on time and money and I've been just driving it. I might pull my headers out and put corvette manifolds in, because the welds on the headers are comin apart.

How did you attach it? Screws, rivets? Is it the aftermarket one and if so did you have to message it so it would fit tight?

I picks on up after seeing yours and it doesn't fit real tight not that that changes my mind about it, just wondering.

Be thankful that you are in an area that you can enjoy you truck this time of year. We are in the 20s with more than 10" of snow.

It came with some big sheet metal screws, and I had to to still the holes for it. And ya it took a lot of bending and tweaking to get it to fit tight. Basically what I did is center it up were it needs to be, put the first 2 center screws in, then start at one side and work towards the other bending and massaging it til it fit.
