If this thing doesn't see Pendine sands there's absolutely no hope left for the world... the HAMB needs a "Send the Schoum speedster to the Sands" fund, I'd put in 20$ on that too!

Did you take any pictures when you were building the quickchange? I'd LOVE to see pictures of the internal parts as you were designing/fabricating/assembling them! I'm impressed with your ingenuity/fabrication skills & thank you VERY MUCH for sharing them with the rest of us!!

Someone in SCTA should/make it possible to race a "French" flathead in the traditional classes. I really don't understand why not, as the "French" flathead is an exact copy of the US version. Old US Flatheads are scarce, and they can be modified with almost no limit:confused:

Wow.... Unbelievable talent right there. Whether it ever sees the salts of Bonneville or not, that's impressive.

The French flathead is not an exact copy of the original. Different materials make the block much more reliable and it is not available to anyone who wants to race one. Ask a current flathead competitor why the group petitioned the SCTA to not allow the engine.

BTW, a great build, a true craftsman.

Yes, the french flat isn't a "vintage engine" in the SCTA Classes. But I don't build this car for run on the salt, so it's not a problem for me.. ;-)

But I'm a lucky guy! the VHRA allowed the french flat for the Pendine Sands race! so I will run on the UK sand instead of the USA salt!

here is a picture of the lakester in his final stage:

Some news of my roadster (on the right) soon....
