Maybe I'm a little late on this but I just seen where Don Garlits wife Pat passed away.Prayers to the family.
Just saw that on the NHRA website. Sad to hear. Meet her at the museum in 1985, and later at a IHRA race in Scribner. Very nice lady
Very sad, she was with him thoughout his drag racing career, she was the one who insisted he wear a jacket instead of a t-shirt before that terrible fire at Chester, he said otherwise he would have died......sympathies to Don and the whole family.
I met Pat in 1964 at Thompson Raceway in Ohio. She was selling T-shirts out of the back of Don's pickup. Very nice lady. I wish I still had the T-shirt. My prayers are with you Don and your girls. RIP
Too many too soon, Don you are in my thoughts. I know nothing we can say will ease your pain but all the same we are all beside you in this difficult time. Doc.
Sincere sympathy goes out to Don, and all of their family and friends. even when expecting the end it is never easy.
So Sad. She was Don's world, but had struggled health wise for quite some time. May she rest in peace.
