So What Years Of Cars/Trucks/Vans Are Considered HAMB Worthy?

Been checking out this site off and on for a while but just recently registered, so just wondering what the OFFICIAL HAMB vehicles would be. Thx. Later.

We have very few written rules here on the HAMB and that’s the way we like it, but we won’t hesitate to dump disruptive posters, ego freaks, or shit talkers. We are all here to learn and teach - please keep your other perogatives on the sidelines.

Why Was My Post Deleted?
1. Did you confuse the H.A.M.B. with Facebook? That we are not... Save your personal strife, random observations, and rants for your choice of social media - it doesn't belong here.

2. Did you post a "pray for me" thread? We don't do religion here. Join this group instead.

3. Did you disrespect another user? We believe verbal battles through the internet are bullshit and as such, we delete all that we can. Further more, if you can't express an opinion without bagging someone else's, maybe you should rethink the validity of your opinion?

4. Did you disrespect the H.A.M.B. or a member of its staff? Feel lucky that all you walked away with is a deleted thread or post. This is the quickest way to get your account deleted.

5. Was your thread something that has been covered over and over again? Try searching next time. We've had countless threads through the years on bias tires vs. radials, the definition of "traditional," and many other topics. We don't need to rehash what the bulk of us already know.

OK boss, got a question.....You said anything American made before 1965
But what about Dueced Up having a Triumph, or my Morris van gasser. How about all the Anglia, Thames panel trucks or Austin and Fiats??
Not trying to start crap.............just what a clarity.

 

Well a little intro here. I'm almost 50, not saying what side of 50 that is.
Growing up my first ride was a '65 Falcon which I kept for about 20 yrs till it pissed me off then sold it. I was a lowrider for a while with that Falcon on Truspokes then changed up and sprayed it turquoise with some original moon hubcaps.

Always like the stance of lowered and slammed cars and I drop just about everything I get, I mostly like cut/trimmed springs to lower.
I don't like FWD cars.

Most times I get a car for how it will look dropped or slammed then deal with running issues.
My first experience with body/paint was at about 16 and been doing it when needed ever since. I liked the smell of spraying lacquer back in the day. I can TIG weld but mostly I gas weld what's needed on my projects.

Always got projects going on whether they're trucks, cars, motorcycles, bicycles, etc.
My oldest rides as of now are '65 slammed 4 dr Benz, '66 dropped Econoline with flipped axle and a '67 raised F100 with a 390FE in it.

So nothing I've got at this time will be posted here. I'm always on the lookout for a '60 Ford wagon or a '40s COE tho.
So I know the shit I need to know for what I have. I DO like this forum for the no bullshit attitude so I'm here to stay. Later.

 

It's also been stated that SOME, makes, models and years, get a pass.

 

Cars that aren't muscle cars (IE the Mustang) or VWs, that were built more or less the same in later years as in '64, get a pass. Funny cars and drag racing seems to get a pass too, but by '70 or so a lot of the floppers were a fiberglass body over a chassis with a Hemi anyhow.

 

The 66 Econoline will probably get a pass since it looks like a 65. HRP

No drama required here but how in the world could you be on the HAMB since 2007 and still think your Morris Minor Gasser is not accepted? Dude that is one killer car...I want to see more!

Won't find many MBs on here, but a custom '65 sedan could fit. The baby Ford Volvos do. Is there a good foreign car thread on here?

 

Thanks guys......I've had the little Morris Z van now over 35 years. We take it to some of the local shows but there's not a lot of room to haul things on a long trip. The picture of the van in Yellow was when I first saw the thing for sale back in the 70's. It was love at first sight.
