Blairs Speed Shop For Sale??

Speedway proudly says they are "Americas Oldest Speed Shop" I thought that was a bunch of crap. Blair's been around since the 40"s so that makes them the oldest!

 

You are correct about this, sort of.

Speedway started in 1948, Blair's in 1946 - so both from the 40's, but Blair's is the oldest Speed Shop in the World ~ regardless of what Speedy Bill thinks

 

I think Rocco and Cheaters in Birmingham started in '46 too.

 

Is it open or not? The comments seemed to indicate it was closed? I'm there tomorrow!

 

Blair's is definitely still open.

 

I spent many Saturday's at Blair's in the 60's and 70's. many memories and great times in that building.
