1939-1940 MERCURY frame part.???

hello Mercury guys.. Is there supposed to be a rear bar, across the frame, at the very end of the frame.. mine has none.. it looks like the gas tank would be attached.?? if there is, I NEED ONE PLEASE ...... I ship to Wa. 98226 thanks a lot, Lloyd

We talked before about the rear crossmember. If you want hassle free I'd either buy this frame from Ron (http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=851062). He is located in central Cali or Sledge may have an extra frame or I bet he would fab me for you.
