Well it was that time of year again for the river city coupe and roadster club to hold the third annual reliability run.
Held over the Australia Day long weekend, we were blessed with great weather, fine cars and great people.
Proceedings kicked of Friday night at a private motorcycle collection held in Melbourne's southeast, housing an unbelievable collection from some of the earliest to latest bikes, Indians, Harley's, jap gp bikes and everything in between.

Saturday, the day of the run. Starting at Mont De Lancey historic homestead, dating back to the 1800's and located in the outer eastern suburbs it provided a fantastic backdrop to some of the finest traditional hot rods in the land.
After a BBQ lunch and tour of the homestead the run got under way, 100 miles of long straights, rolling hills and high climbs, just to challenge the bangers, 2 check points and the finish at the historic coach and horses pub where a great dinner was provided with the tunes provided by a great 3 piece Texas swing band.

Sunday was wind down day, a laid back breakfast of bacon and eggs with great coffee the backdrop of Rancho deluxe hot rod shop.

To all the entrants, you guys are killer, you make it, the clubs, vultures, kardinals and eldorados, thanks heaps fellas for your continued support, not just attending but helping with breakfast, supporting our auctions, I can't say enough.
To my fellow rccrc members, once again great job,the support, hard work and dedication shown through out the year was top class.
I'll post some crappy cell phone pics, anyone is welcome to hijack the thread and post pics.
    Thommo

These guys all deserve a big thanks for putting on a great day, if you weren't having fun then we weren't at the same event. Even for those who had a few mechanical issues, I think their spirits weren't dampened.

Thanks to all the RCCRC guys, you all did your parts to make it a great day, I know some are more visual that others but I also know what it takes to pull off something like your run and it requires many people making sure it all gets done.

Another great route, another good feed. I appreciate you going to the trouble to give us another great traditionally focused event to attend.

I didn't take any photos, so none to contribute, I wanted to enjoy the day for what it was, Peddro and I cruised in my roadster and just had a ball, it was relaxing and the sound of the flathead as we boogied through lovely countryside and up winding hills and down the blacktop was about as good as it gets.

Hats off guys, you have the formula spot on.

    cheers

    Flatoz ( Corey)

Thommo and the RCCRRR crew this has been absolutely hands down the best HOT ROD event I have ever had the pleasure of being part off. I can't thank all enough to have the foresight to develop, market-promote and manage such a special event. You are all true hot rod Entrepreneurs - well ahead of the pack !!

I missed the event but took in the Post Event Breakfast.
Judging by the stories from those that I spoke to and pics I've seen, it was yet another Great Event. Hats off to the Organisers, I can appreciate that organising something like this is no easy feat.
Here are some of my pics from the Breakfast.

I think I can speak for my fellow club members in saying it is a pleasure not a chore putting on this event as the people that attend are some of the nicest people I have meet almost every person took the time to come up to every club member and shook there hand and thanked them for putting the event on and said what a good time they had now that is what makes it worth while and I would like to thank all those who attended very much for making it such a fun weekend

Great pics so far guys. I didn't take any this year so I'm hoping there are more to come.

Can't add anything to the sentiments about the run and the organisers that hasn't been said but the vibe of the whole weekend is something you would have to experience to understand. Thanks RCCRC!

Great event, Great photos. Thank You.

One question I noticed a lot of cars without fenders and few with fenders, I thought it was illegal to not have fenders in Australia?? Larry
