thanks helmuth ! woods coming out .. you know what that means .LOWER ROOF !! pics are just kind of a reference so i know how it all goes back together
Beautiful work...read it from the beginning. Always been a fan of the A coupes on deuce rails. That's a serious slice!!!
Chop looks great. Maybe a stupid question: How are you dealing with reassembly of the wood where it needs to be cut? Are you making your own key pieces, or cutting down a purchased wood kit...(or maybe not replacing the wood at all)? I ask because I haven't chopped mine yet. My thought was to cut down a prefab wood kit and then drill and dowel as necessary to modify for the chop....
thanks everyone i appreciate it ! i will be getting new wood and like you said cutting it to fit dowl pins and wood glue door top on i want to focus on one area each day i work on the car remade the top skin of the pillar due to the fact of pillar taper and a 6 and 3/4 inch chop . pie cut the inner pillar as well to bring it out pillar finished up

Flop; Good to see you back @ in the groove again. That chop is looking good, just hope you ain't 6'7". Stay warm if you can. Bob
Wow... Just wow! Just went thru this whole thread. Im a beginner and trying to pick up tools/equipment so I can tackle a project like this. What kind of tig welder are you using? Any pics of your other tools...hammers, files etc... Sorry for the newb questions, just want to do it right the first time. Learned a lot from this thread thanks for posting
thanks jam !! burn out im only 5 10 hahah . thanks !! dark wing using a miller synchrowave . just your typical hammers and files nothing out of the ordinary . Thanks!! thanks paul creeping along on the chop
I've got a perfect candidate for your next challenge! I think it used to be a race car; it's full of "lightening holes". It ain't easy up here in the Northeast! Mike Build is sweet- nice work.
Flop, looking at your bare metal finish work makes me realize how stretched out of shape my quarters really are. I keep seeing shrinking hammers for sale..but I've never used one...Are you using a disk, torch, or hammer when panels are stretched?
