    Beautiful work...read it from the beginning. Always been a fan of the A coupes on deuce rails. That's a serious slice!!!

    Chop looks great.

    Maybe a stupid question:
    How are you dealing with reassembly of the wood where it needs to be cut?
    Are you making your own key pieces, or cutting down a purchased wood kit...(or maybe not replacing the wood at all)?

    I ask because I haven't chopped mine yet. My thought was to cut down a prefab wood kit and then drill and dowel as necessary to modify for the chop....

    thanks everyone i appreciate it !

    i will be getting new wood and like you said cutting it to fit dowl pins and wood glue

    i want to focus on one area each day i work on the car

    remade the top skin of the pillar due to the fact of pillar taper and a 6 and 3/4 inch chop . pie cut the inner pillar as well to bring it out

    so apparently where i cut my door was about the thickness of tin foil ... whats a man to do in this situation ? splice a new piece in of course !

    Wow... Just wow! Just went thru this whole thread. Im a beginner and trying to pick up tools/equipment so I can tackle a project like this. What kind of tig welder are you using? Any pics of your other tools...hammers, files etc... Sorry for the newb questions, just want to do it right the first time. Learned a lot from this thread thanks for posting

    I've got a perfect candidate for your next challenge! I think it used to be a race car; it's full of "lightening holes". It ain't easy up here in the Northeast! Mike :eek: Build is sweet- nice work.

    Flop, looking at your bare metal finish work makes me realize how stretched out of shape my quarters really are. :)

    I keep seeing shrinking hammers for sale..but I've never used one...Are you using a disk, torch, or hammer when panels are stretched?
