Been working over my intake manifold getting it where it will work with either 94 holleys or strombergs well which is the better choice I can get either brand easily but do t have any idea of the pros or cons of either carb

94's & 97'S preform about the same. 94's work good & there's plenty of them out there for a decent price. 97's are a bit harder to pick up but you cant beat the "cool" factor of them. Just make sure you have deep pockets for 97's

Strombergs are more expensive and some people consider them more desireable.

Other than that, the arguments over which is "better" go on forever, almost as much as radial versus bias-ply tires.

  5. Here's a couple of 94"s that are going on a 3x2 setup (Y-Block)

97's are easier to tune for multi carb setups due to the mechanical power valve.

94's are a little bit harder but are less expensive.

I run 4 94's with all 3.5 power valves and straight linkage. I tweaked the accelerator pumps to come on properly. It runs like a bat out of hell right off the line.
