    Nice work. Chop looks spot-on!
That's an awesome pic of Dad pitching in. A moment in time to treasure. You should print out that pic and post it on your tool chest or garage wall.

Dig the look with the fenders. Very nice, sits just right, too.

  19. I haven't checked this thread in some time.

This is like a breath of fresh air keeping the fenders. It was getting so every build on here would include the advice to "throw away the fenders and chop the shit out of it. Looking good, can't wait to see it finished.
Your going to have a ball with that 4 banger and if you ever get bored buy a copy of Mike Bishop and Vern Tardel's book How To Build a Traditional Ford Hot Rod and fall in love all over again.

Nice work , glad to see the fenders go back on , the only reason i bought my 31 is was because it was a chopped(in the 50's) banger and full fenders;)

kyvetteman, I would think you might find some hidden treasures up in them thar hills of Ky. I talked to a gas station attendant in "Backwoods" Ark. a couple years ago, and he informed me that it was not a good idea for a stranger to go "snooping around" on those backroads, and I took him at his word. That being said, you should have an advantage, being a native. I have heard the Southern states still have gold, and I really love to take a few weeks and sniff some out. Good luck in your endeavors, and maybe we will see you at Austin at the LonestarRoundup. It is worth attending.

lothiandan1940, with your quote, "and the hops flowed like water", you qualify as my friend. I hope you can see fit to attend our LonestarRoundup at Austin in April 4-5 this year. It's a good distance, but, arguably, is the best show in Texas.

chopo, you are truly a lucky man to be able to share your build with your Pop. This will be rocking chair memories I wish I had. Cool little "A".
