Nice work, all. Thanks, halfasscustoms and gbritnell for showing your outstanding HO models.

Here's what NOT to do when hogging out an HO resin model to make it thin walled.

I used older unsharp bits in a motor tool to remove material on this '48 Tucker. Then two days ago I used a new, sharp cone shape cutter to open up the doors. It "caught" and split the body. I've since glued it back together, cut open the doors and puttied the split gap. To put it in context, I'm making a master for just the body shell (sans front clip, doors, windows, trunk, etc.) for a buddy who will use it to make dozens of them to load on a model railroad car. His fantasy is that Tucker became a successful manufacturer and opened up a west coast assembly plant that he is modeling a corner of.

    Also, I'm working on my H.A.M.B. Plastic Model Builders sub-group build-off entry: a 1/25 scale circa '60 six-cylinder rail.

As always there is some fantastic work posted up, a Sunday Models that is one of the best ever!

abc123 that is some work, hogging out a resin HO scale anything wouldn't be fun!

Not sure if I have posted this up before, its a Revell 1/25 34 Coupe I chopped. Its just sitting on the guards for the pic, I intend to build a Pierson Bros style lakes car out of it.
