Nice! Is that a Jag 6? I'd love to see the build log for this.

Here are some pieces that I've been building (and selling) for my new business, (F)utility Studios. You may have seen me at the Retro Rewind last weekend.

This one is for sale on Etsy, but the 2 above have already been sold.

This one I've dubbed the Klaatu Barada X-38 Spacecraft. It casts a red light on the ceiling and a snowflake-like pattern on the table. It's really hard to capture in a photo. It's for sale, or course, on Etsy

I don't know if this qualifies as art but made this magazine rack the other day. Other photo is a close up.

Awhile back I thought I read that the art show wanted to stay with rods and rodding. This is my contribution for the show. If it's out of place let me know and I won't post these type of pictures.
Colored pencil on Stonehenge paper. 18x16
    Thanks,

  12. ^ Gee gbritnell- It's an outstanding labour. IMO (as O.P), a genuine asset to FAS. Alas, We all have our own slant ( e.g. I detest curb crawling showground queen look--at-me-I'm -soo-low rat rod crap).

    Rollie -table looks good

    - I gotta work harder- I want that lamp

  13. Really appreciate how you fellas see the need to repost others pictures over and over.
Let the artist post their pictures and just leave comments..no need to repost their pictues as well.

    Agreed

I have been negligent at running the FAS….The past few month have been very very busy.
For the most part, the FAS has had good content… in the future this thread will be more in tune with the rest of the board….

  15. Well put.

    What's happened to the FAS?
Only a few die hard artists still posting stuff.
Where have all the artists and photographers gone? :(
I always look forward to the FAS, but boy it's getting smaller each week.

  18. It's been a loooooooong time since I've posted in a FAS. This is a drawing that I've got in the works, right now. I'll put up the finished product, when its done.

Speaking of gorgeous… Jen… this stuff is amazing, so much talent kid.

Yes Belair. Saw this photo in the essential hot rod lovers book "The Birth of Hot Rodding
by Robert Genat. It features the fine work of shutter bug Don Cox at El Mirage in 1948.
I saw that photo and had to put my 'perspective' on it.

Speaking of perspective and quality photo bugging'...

a doodle I forgot I drew… (see ya next week)

Man! Everythings fantabulous as usual, I've got new stuff but also a new camera, my images are to big to load and I cant figure out how to shrink 'em! So, y'all are spared the eyeball agony!:p Keep it coming, you guys rock! And enjoy the GNRS! I went to the 50th, wish I could come back and enjoy some warm weather and cool people/cars...you can keep the 113 though Spoggie-love the watercoloures-or has the acrylic just melted!

  27. Great stuff guys and gals. Hellfish, those lamps are, well simply put, unbelievable. I love every one of them.
    Later,
    Dick

I think the holiday season takes its toll on all of us , and time becomes a great commodity , when the driving weather approaches us , the artwork will precede the car shows and cruise nights .
